I don’t have a start date for the pilot at Bayside.

My goal was to have the pilot up and running in February. That hasn’t happened. However, there has been enough positivity from the 10-15 retailers I have met over the past fortnight for me to believe the pilot will kick off soon.

I’m sticking with my plan to run the pilot at Bayside Shopping Centre.

I could start a pilot now at Chadstone, Southland, Eastland, a few locations in Sydney or “just bring it to Perth!”

But, I need to get it 100% right the very first time. I can babysit Bayside deliveries, I’ve got 100 people signed up already and support from Vicinity (owners of Bayside), Frankston Council, the local MPs and, of course, The Frankston Foundry is my home away from home.

I know it’s a direct contradiction to start up mentality. I’m waiting for an optimum situation rather than “failing fast”. I don’t feel comfortable considering failure where online shopping is concerned. Seriously, the retailers have literally spent thousands of dollars to get people to their site in the first place. I don’t want to jeopardise that relationship.

In the meantime, I’ll just keep drinking more coffee and venturing all over Melbourne to pitch Passel!

Exciting news this week is that I’ll officially graduate from the Founder Institute on March 14th. I will be forever thankful for the advice, information, friends and mentors I only gained for participating. If you haven’t read about my experience at FI, then you can here.

The click and collect demo site is live. You can play around if you like. I will refund your $15 if you accidentally make a booking! https://www.passel.com.au/click-collect-passel/

A quick thanks to all the people who send me messages containing suggestions, feedback, criticism and ideas. I appreciate it all!

For example, a retailer told me that I wasn’t making a big enough deal about the 365-day availability of Passel. I thought I was, but I need to play that up more as a market differentiator.

Sharing is caring!
