It’s been a busy fortnight here at Passel.
The vast majority of my time is spent on lead generation, marketing and meeting with prospective retail clients. I have to admit I underestimated the amount of time it would take to get the pilot up and running. From an operational and technical point of view, I could start today.
It’s not as easy to get the ball rolling on the customer side of the fence.
Anyway, I’ll keep plugging away. There are over 100 prospects in the pipeline and, if I was launching in a different shopping centre (Chadstone or Southland), we already would have commenced.
I attended the Big Small Business Expo last week and was told “You’ve just answered every woman’s dreams” by Kelly.
True quote, and quite uplifting.
The big news this week will be my 3 days exhibiting at Inside Retail Live in Sydney. (https://insideretail.live/).
One of the premier retail events in Australia, I have a decent list of people who are going to come to my booth in the KPMG Start Up Zone to catch up. If you’re attending, then please come and say hi. Donations of coffee are also welcome.
As a student of the sharing economy, I’ve decided to park my car at Melbourne airport with Carhood (https://www.carhood.com.au/). Essentially, you park your car with them for free and they try and rent it out while you are away. If they successfully rent your car, you get a cut. The worst case scenario is free airport parking.
I almost forgot – I’ve been accepted into the Founder Institue “FounderX” program – http://fi.co/founderx. The goal of participating in FounderX is to get the next round of funding for Passel.
Once I launch I will have to scale quickly, and this ought to help!
Sharing is caring!
Thanks to everyone who continues to like and comment on my social activity. Also, thanks to those who constantly send me contact information for people I should talk with. I never say no to a coffee!
