A quick snapshot of what we’ve been up to at Passel.

If you want to see what’s going on behind the curtain, you are more than welcome to become a customer , become a Passer, or get involved in our seed funding round.

Dymocks

We have our pilot store up and running in Camberwell. We are delivering successfully and the customers are happy.

All the best books, delivered in 3-hours, 364 days a year.

Ireland

Nearly there, and now looking at a launch in May. Our customer service team are being hired and trained. The goal of every customer interaction is to Amaze and Delight.

I will be in Dublin and Belfast for a week from 18-25 May for the Retail Excellence event, and to meet with prospective customers and potential partners.

I will also duck across the channel to The Netherlands on May 22 for the inNOWvate Supply Chain Event. It’s a cool-looking convention, and the hosts have been generous enough to create some free space for startups.

There might even be a pitch comp.

China

On the way to Ireland, I will be stopping in China for two days courtesy of the City of Melbourne and some other people – https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6521962705967026176

That’s really exciting. Here are two stats:

40% of global ecommerce is in China
In the next 10 years, the middle class of China is expected to grow by 350 million people.

Getting Professional Help

Rebecca Campbell has joined Passel as Community Manager, which includes a whole range of areas from strategy, UX, advertising and marketing.

We’re rapt to have her as part of the team and excited about the potential for reduction in dad jokes in our social media posts.

Speaking of DAD:JOKES. Did you read about our drone delivery service?
